Fortitude: Creating Sanctuaries of Strength and Comfort Through Tough Times
The days are getting shorter and multiple pandemics rage on. When things get rough in my life, I need to build in more comfort, strength, and bounded self-care space. My favorite secret self-care practice is... blanket forts. These cozy structures have an amazing capacity to provide strength and comfort when we need it most -- think of the Danish concept of hygge. In this playful workshop we'll gather and dive deep into the meaning, practice, and ritual of creating bounded self-care space. We'll create forts together and work with guided visualization and journaling to invite more self-care into our lives. Part play, part ritual, part self-care, this is for you if you need a little more nurturance in a community of like-minded folk. Plus, it's just fun. Bring blankets, pillows, binder clips or rope, chairs, drawing materials, and your inner child.
